This is using basic Photoshop7.0 Image Mounting and Collage Skills, while it is using advance skills to create this on Photoshop with the same token it was the very basic training I got in High School when learning both black and white as well as digital Photography here in NYC. This is something anyone can do with the right set of acquired skill set over a period of time when using this wonderful software which I have been using ever since it was introduced into the Digital Photography world in the late 90’s. I remember this perfectly because I was one of the last luck people to still have been taught conventional Photography and Black and White Photography using chemicals; like Developer, Decxtal, Fixer, Permawash, yes I am a Chemist LOL which is practically unheard of today some 30 years later as per the Digital switch of 2000.
It is why I consider this of good fortune! Wow to have been there just at the right time in history to be able to have taken part in both worlds well that is just fantastic!, Come to think of it when I put it in that phraseology. A could actually I still remember how to real my own film, which has to be in pitch black, as the light sensitive film reel would damage upon refraction of any light especially the sun, I would then load my won film, go shoot by taking pictures and go develop my pictures with an enlarger one by one each and every one of my pictures myself.
And so along with my peers at the age of 15 years old through 19 I mastered both Arts the Piano and Photography at the same time. My parents along with my uncle a Pastor Eduardo Joseph Mendoza paid for me to have a classical upbringing and did account for the many lessons and quite a few teachers who where performing Pianist. Till the age of 21 they paid my lessons 80 per lesson which was considered doing us a favor, by today’s standards it would be what I charge now for a Piano lesson $250 an hour & $2500 a show for a three hour show. Fresh-men in high school at Graphic Communications Arts High School where I attended, formally known as New York's Boys School for Printing in the Hell's Kitchen part of New York.
I could still remember it as if it were yesterday I attended High school in the year of 1997-2001 when I graduated and attended International Center of Photography and went directly to International Center of Photography in 42nd and 6th ave here in the City, it was so cool because I was 19 years of age just graduated and I was getting paid for my restoration skills with Photoshop 7.0 by a famous fashion Photographer who was a specialist in Beauty and at the same time knew nothing of computers, that’s where I came in, as the world changed so did the demand for digital photography era demand I help this elderly Lady Named Norrie Perrault just do a Google search for, “Norrie Perrault fashion photography,” she taught me lots of things about the Fashion World and the World of Photography & the industry and the business of the Photography World.
I was already a good Photographer so she did not teach me about the skills and inner workings of Photography because I had just graduated from H.S and learned up plenty of skills but the practical things of a shooting session, and business management of the Photography world and what constitutes this side of the Photography world, this I attribute to her, It was she that showed me the way in how to be a successful photographer how to put it all together by actually doing it I just learned this from watching her do her photo sessions then years later I did the same thing and I can say it works.
The Key with Photoshop is the less you do the better, a good Photographer needs nothing but a camera and a subject to capture a fantastic image, the world is already beautiful it is your job or passion to capture that image be it Nature or a Human, that’s where a key element is revealed a person cannot take a good image if they do not know how to crop the image or correctly capture an image let us marinate that for a bit. Secondly let me let you in on what I do with Photoshop, two things to keep in mind “1.the minimal, 2. as lest as possible” that’s how I go about it and absolutely no misleading here I don’t enlarge or shrink body parts or take away wrinkles though I can and with much ease and in a few clicks of a mouse using the Rubber Stamp Tool and to enlarge there are all kinds of ways of Free Transforming anything in Photoshop, I love scaling in Photoshop but only do it for fun meaning when I enhance something you can tell as is not my style I am, not that kind of person I am, “the all natural guy,” the less you do on Photoshop the better, what I do with Photoshop is all the adjustment under New Layer Adjustment the Levels, the Curves Adjustment, the Hue adjustment the Brightness and Contrast adjustment which all do drastically different things and it is complex for the new comer however for the initiate and or Photoshop master, this is everyday use depending on how you use Photoshop you would know how to use these adjustments which are the main things in dealing with adjusting any picture.
After color correcting color balancing and adjusting the image’s brightness and contrast, then we would say in the Photography world this image is calibrated, that means what you see on the screen is what you see on your image be it paper or on the screen, on facebook you see this all the time, what would have been an otherwise fine picture is over exposed or underexposed such that you cannot see anything that is where photoshopping with Photoshop comes in get your images fixed today get in contact with me by Email jayom88@gmail.com if you are interested in restoring old pictures of Grandma or if you want any image enhanced altered or fix, and or if you are interested in Piano lessons for young and old my hourly rate is $250.
